To heal or not to heal?

To heal or not to heal? … That is the question.

Psalm 107:20
“He sent out his word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction.”

So, is healing available to all who seek and desire it from JesusChrist nowadays? Well, the short answer to that is obviously a resounding YES! In this verse, we can read that not only is it God’s desire to heal us it is His perfect will for us. Jesus came to this earth as a man and lived a sinless life to fulfill all the prophecies that were spoken to his people hundreds of years earlier. His ministry began at the age of thirty when he was baptized and empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring the gospel to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, set the captives free, heal the sick, and make the dead to rise. He was the son of God in the flesh and walking among men with nothing that would draw attention to him or make Him stand out. He asked a group of 12 men to follow him as he discipled them along the way because He knew that he had three years to complete a particular mission given to him by His Father in heaven. At the “fullness of time,” as the word says, Jesus was born, lived a human life here on earth and as he gave Himself up to be tortured and crucified, He rose on the third day so that once and for all HE defeated death, hell, and the grave.
Now, fast forward to today: your sin debt, and everything that goes along with it. Jesus made sure it was paid in full on that cross because He is the perfect, sinless Lamb of God – the ONLY acceptable sacrifice to forgive, cleanse and make us whole and holy to God the Father. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, 2000 years ago. Sickness and disease were dealt with, abolished and removed from our physical bodies. While these still exist, they are not ours to live with. We must remember that this work of healing was already dealt with and we are Complete in Him. We have the living Word in our mouths, that is sharper than any two-edged sword to slay the lies and anything that rises itself against us- Sickness –is not from or of God. Get that straight in your heart and mind. Confess with your mouth the powerful word that God gave us to annihilate it and acknowledge what is already given to you. Christ in you is the hope of glory. Satan has no power against you except deception, which can only be fueled by our ignorance of not knowing the Word and not knowing our Savior.
Stay rooted in the Lord, and be thankful in everything, and watch and see what comes to pass. God is our Healer, and His good, pleasing and perfect will for His children is to Heal us always!
